Okay...so you thought I was bad about taking pictures at Halloween, you would be sad to know that I have not taken any since and is why I haven't updated our blog. So, here is the low down on us.
First, I had a fabulous birthday at home with my family. The kids (but mostly Jon) made me an amazing breakfast in bed. If that wasn't enough, Jon made all the meals for the day (all before breakfast) just so I wouldn't have to cook. He sure knows what makes me happy! And as an additional gift, I got to take a mommy weekend away to sunny AZ again. Cheryl (aka my kindred spirit) flew me down south for warmth, sunshine, and another crazy Twilight weekend. The best part though was seeing my mom there and being there to watch B and L get baptized. Of course, once I got on the plane to come back home, it hit me again how much I really miss being close to my family!
We have spent the last two weekend at Jon's parent's place. The first weekend was because Jon's awesome mom watched my girls for me so I could take a mommy break and the second weekend was for Thanksgiving. We did a lot of partying the second weekend for numerous birthdays as well as the BYU vs. U of U game (GO BYU!!! - what an awesome game! If you missed it, you have to watch the overtime - priceless!) And of course, I forgot to bring our camera. This is a total shame because we threw M her 5th birthday party while we were down there. M decided on a polka-dot birthday party complete with games of twister, doughnut races, and some hyper-dash. I still can't believe my little girl is 5. I can just imagine myself taking her to kindergarten in the fall and just sobbing uncontrollably. Today, M decided she wanted to bare her testimony in church. She got up on the stand all by herself and sat and waited very patiently for others to go first. Once she got up there, my heart was just racing wondering what in the world she was going to say (a very scary thought). But she was amazing! She gave such a heartfelt testimony that I will remember always. My favorite part was when she said she knew that Jesus was in the scriptures! I hope she never forgets that!
Well, I hope everyone is not completely overcome with their long lists of things to do like me before Christmas comes! Cheers!
