Well, we finally got to welcome our 4th little baby into our home and family. The kids were just so excited when A arrived that you could hear them screaming in the background of the phone when we called from the hospital to announce her arrival! We are eternally grateful for grandma Shirley coming to stay with us. She was such a big help! I knew the kids would be just fine with grandma (or "Shir-lee" as L calls her).
A arrived on Saturday night. Contractions started a bit on Friday evening, but subsided for me to get one last good nights rest. We headed to M's soccer game on Saturday morning and then we went over to Coeur d'alene to play a bit. However, my contractions came back by lunch and were getting a little stronger, so we headed back home just in case. Jon and I took a walk around the neighborhood that afternoon and then we knew it was time to head to the hospital. We got there around 5:30 that evening and I was already dialated to an 8. Two hours later, our sweet baby girl was born at 6 pounds 14 ounces and 19 inches long. I decided to go natural with this baby and I am proud to say that we made it. Jon was such a big support that I know I couldn't have done it without him. Everyone kept telling me that once the baby was out that I would be feeling so good. However, I have to say that wasn't the case. I think putting me back together was the worst of the ordeal.
We are so happy to have all 4 of our kiddos home with us now. Life has been an adjustment, but we seem to be getting it alright (sometimes!). The girls just love to hold their baby sister. They are quick to pass her off though if she starts to cry. L likes to hold her too, but seems a little irritated that mom isn't always at his disposal anymore. All in all, we are doing great! We are adjusting to a new baby, new job (Jon is working in home health now), and a new ward (boundary changes the week after the baby was born).
