The kiddos and I are having a blast this summer! We have tried to make each day an adventure.
The kids love watching dollar movies at the theater, exploring new parks around Spokane, participating in the library activities, enjoying night concerts and movies at the park, sleeping on the trampoline, visiting Farmer's Markets and City Days, fireworks, bike rides, swimming at the lake, swimming lessons, and the list just continues... These activities keep the kids motivated to get their work done each morning (i.e. cleaning their rooms, daily chores, reading, and worksheets).
We did make it to the Rose Family Reunion in Walla Walla, WA (now say that three times fast!)! We are still looking forward to a family wedding and reunion in Priest Lake!
M has been working on her piano and basketball skills this summer. We decided that we would do a "skills night" once or twice a week. This allows the kids to pick something they really want to learn or work on.
K has been working on her gymnastics and riding her bike. She is riding like a pro and just needs to gain a little more confidence in herself. Jon and I just run behind her and she thinks we are helping her to stay balanced.
L just wants to learn whatever the girls are doing. He is so excited for swim lessons. He has developed a more healthy fear of trying new things lately. Although, he still tends to be a little reakless with his scooter and wrestling.
A is just getting so big. She is mastering the art of crawling but is much more excited to have Jon or I walk her around while she holds onto our hands. She has 5 teeth now and loves to show them off...she is our smiley girl!!!
