This was such a fun week! We got to celebrate Jon's birthday! The kids and I went to Jon's work on Thursday (his day off) and decorated his office with streamers, balloons, banners, and notes. We left some treats for him to share with the rest of the staff as well. By Friday, we took Jon to grandma and grandpa's to celebrate with the rest of the family. We made his favorite breakfast of biscuits/gravy/sausage and then had a big dinner and party with everyone. The downside was that Jon spent most of the day working on his car trying to get it finished.
Since Jon was working on Saturday, he spent most of Sunday just playing with the kids. They had so much fun playing "Rapunzel" and building towers.
Our ward has always had the late hour to meet because we are such a large ward (we require the use of all the classrooms). Of course, the kids then miss naps and then we have a very snuggly L.
