We had a wonderful Christmas! We decided to stay home for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning before heading down to grandma & grandpa's house. We thought we were so smart by trying to ware the kids out on Christmas Eve by swimming, playing at the park, and watching a movie. Of course, this backfired on us as the kids completely broke down crying while we tried to act out the Christmas story from Luke 2. Dinner was very short and then we tucked them in early. They all promptly fell asleep and so, Santa visited our home. (The nice part is that Jon and I enjoyed a very nice prime rib dinner all by ourselves! That was my favorite gift!) The sad part is that M slept one hour and then woke up thinking it was morning time. It took her the next 5 hours to get back to sleep. I still remember those Christmas Eve nights...they just took forever! Mercifully, we got up at 6 am to open presents just to keep M sane. The kids were so pleased with all the gifts they got. They were even more excited to open each other's gifts. The highlight was the treasure hunt to find the new trampoline in the closet downstairs. Of course, they were spoiled further at grandma's house and loved every minute of it.
