Farm Time

This year, we hand-picked our pumpkins at the local farm. The kids had a great time riding on the hay ride and trying to find their way out of the corn maze. Although, I think their favorite part was finding just the right pumpkin to make a jack-o-lantern. We went as a family first (because I was taking the preschool kids there later in the week and wanted to make sure I knew the place first.) and it was seriously cold. I had almost wished that I bundled everyone in their snowsuits. The preschool field trip day was much nicer (thank heavens, because I don't think I could have kept 5 girls plus my three very warm). After looking at the pumpkins for a little while, the kids started looking for the most "interesting" pumpkins in the patch. I wish I had taken some pictures, because they had some of the ugliest pumpkins I had ever seen. There were some with worts, others that looks like alien gourds, and even others that looked like they had been dipped into green paint. All in all, everyone had a good time with only minimal tears shed.

I keep forgetting to check the blogs. This is great and it looked like a lot of fun.
